I hope this message finds you well. We've received several reports recently regarding people knocking on doors trying to sell items, with concerns of potential scoping of properties/belongings within.

Although their attendance may be legitimate, please always remain vigilant.

Check all "official" visitors are legitimate by calling the companies involved, do not take their word for it, often they have fake ID as well.

Don’t let anyone into your home unless you have checked authenticity, and they are there for a legitimate purpose. 

If you are suspicious of a cold caller, report it as soon as you can on 101 or web chat, try to write down as much information about the person as you can. 

If a crime is ongoing or someone is in danger call 999.
