THEFT OF BIKES in your area

Resident

North Wales Police have received 2 separate reports of bike thefts in the CAERWYS area earlier this week.

Sometime between 10pm on Tuesday 1st July and 6am on Wednesday 2nd July, a number of bikes were stolen from an address on Chapel Street. The offender used tools to cut the locks on a door in order to gain entry to an outbuilding (ref: C098661)

On the same night, another incident occurred in the South Street area, where 2 mountain bikes were stolen from the outbuilding of another property. This is believed to have happened sometime between 11:30pm on 1st July and 5:30pm on the 2nd July. It appears that tools were used to cut the chains which were securing the bikes (ref: C099698).

If you have any information or CCTV footage which may be of assistance in the investigation of either of these incidents, please contact us on 101 or via the online reporting tab on the North Wales Police website, and quote the relevant reference number.

Please ensure your bikes and similar items are locked away and out of sight. Consider installing CCTV cameras and sensor lights as additional security measures.
