Theft of galvanised and wooden farm gates

There has been a recent increase in theft of galvanised and wooden farm gates across the Corwen, Overton and Wrexham areas. Offenders are targeting rural properties, farms and smallholdings, often at night or when access points are unobserved.

To protect your gates:

Gate marking- Mark gates with uv pen, smart water, paint, engraving, applying your postcode or a unique ID.

Heavy Duty Hinges- Use coach bolts instead of screws, reverse the hinges, or weld hinge pins to stop easy removal.
